Good day with unusually calm conditions at Barwon Heads and Thirteenth Beach. Players will have to be at their best as winds start to pick up over the next 3 days
Another good day for the Marby Golf program with a number of players picking up the pace and shooting some good scores. Li Su stormed home on the back 9 (4 under) to post a 3 under the card 69 on the beach course at 13th beach. George Carasavidis exploded out of the blocks racing to 3 under after 4 holes before fading late however still coming in 3 under his handicap. With Kiandra Hughes, Jack McKenzie, Aashish Sudarsanan, Corey Zelez and Harry Weaver also posting good scores it looks like Marby golf will be well represented when the cut is made after round 3
Li Su 69
3rd and 4th rounds
Congratulations to year 11 student Li Su who was the highest ranked player from Maribyrnong finishing in 21st position at 9 over par. Li played extremely consistent golf right over the four days with rounds of 76, 69, 75, 75. The Winner of the tournament finished at 14 under par 10 shots ahead of second place.
